Tsuut'ina Nation Temporary Support Centre

***Support Centre – Various Positions***

Department:      Tsuut’ina Emergency Response Team – Support Centre

Reports to:         Emergency Response Team Lead

Designation Contract: Temporary Contract As required

The temporary Support Centre will be set up in trailers at the Sportsplex to care for any Nation member that may need to be quarantined due to COVID-19.

This is not a medical facility, this is being set up as a last resort for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and cannot safely isolate at home.  This may be due to over crowding in the house, lack of extra rooms or bathrooms to isolate, high-risk family members living in home who cannot have someone safely isolate or homelessness.

The goal is for people to be able to isolate safely at home by quarantining away from other family members if possible.  Only when there is no safe way to stay home would we seek to utilize the Support Centre.  The reality is home will be much more comfortable and be more pleasant to quarantine than our Centre, but we have tried to provide as nice a space as we could for people who need shelter.

The positions will be on-call at first until there is a confirmed case then it will be shift work.
