Councillor Tsuutina Nation

Biography

Stanley was first elected as Councillor for the Tsuut’ina Nation in 2002 and has since served his community for 2 terms, with the start of his recent term in 2014. He is the Council Representative for the Programs Portfolio. Working closely with Public Works, Recreation and The Agriplex Program, as well as the Youth Program. He currently sits on many Chief & Council Committees such as the Tsuut’ina Nation Finance/Treasury Committee and also Co-Chairman of Tsuut’ina Education.

His education background started with the completion of his high school in 1994, he would later attend Mount Royal College in the Recreation & Sport Management Program in 1999, Also attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the Management Certificate Program in 2008.

Prior to his current political career Stanley was employed with the Tsuut’ina Recreation Department for 10 years. Mr. Big Plume has always been an active member in the community for the youth and volunteers his time Coaching Various Sporting Teams within the Nation. He has served on the Alberta Hockey Board as Vice President and continues to volunteer his time to community events throughout the year.

Stanley is married to wife Sharlene, Father to son Traejan and daughter Latesha.
